Nick Jay, also known as Mahalo, born April 23, 1991 in Honolulu, Hawaii is an American dance music producer and DJ. He is well known for making deep and groovy house music known as 'Liquid House' and has been met international success since launching the alias in 2015.[1] He has worked with and released on many internationally recognized record labels such as, Armada Music, Toolroom Records, Sony Music, and Warner/ADA, among others[citation needed]. The unique and signature style of Mahalo has earned him the respect of many in both the underground dance music scene as well as the more popular factions of the entertainment industry, such as Hardwell, Avicii, Mark Knight, Blonde, Tommy Trash, DJ Chuckie, Judge Jules, The Aston Shuffle, Swanky Tunes, Mike Mago and Sam Feldt.[2] His music has charted internationally on separate occasions, however he is most well known for his single, "Current Mood" which released with Perfect Havoc Limited in conjunction with Warner Music.
