Mahapranay Scheme
The Scheme is launched by the state government on the date 25 August, 2016. The scheme gives assistance to financially backward people by providing them free of cost vehicle services to carry the dead body of their people from hospital and home. The scheme is implemented all over the state and can be utilized by financially backward people who face difficulties in the movement of the deceased (member of family and relatives) from hospital to home. This scheme is a part of the Harishchandra Scheme and is believed to be benefiting underprivileged people who cannot afford other paid ambulances.[1]
