Maksuda Akhter a.k.a. Maksuda Prioty (born 7 August 1989) was crowned Ms Ireland 2014 on 11 January 2014 in Dublin, Ireland.[2][3] She was first runner up in Ms Earth 2015 pageant held in Jamaica.[4][5] She was declared Ms Earth International 2016 by the authority for her charity works during the contest.[4]

Early life and education[edit]

Maksuda Akhter is born in Bangladesh on 7 August 1989. She is from Comilla District. After death of her father[3] in 1997, she left Dhaka at the age of 12 in 2001 for Ireland.[4] She just finished class 9 in London International School then. Her mother died in 2008.[3]

She completed her graduation in business management from the Institute of Technology, Tallaght in Dublin. She attended a flight school.[1] Now she is a qualified pilot.

Modelling[edit]

Maksuda Akhter was a finalist for Top Model UK in over 25 category in 2014.[1]

She modelled for artist Jim Fitzpatrick in portrait painting.[4]

Personal life[edit]

Akhter is living as a single mother with two children (Mourin, Abraz) in Dublin.[5]

Filmography[edit]

Akhter worked in two films of director Ciaran Davies.[5] She had an opportunity to work in a Bollywood film but refuses due to an offensive offer by the producer.[6]

Charitable works[edit]

Maksuda Akhter involves with "Subornogram Foundation", a non-profit organization that works with underprivileged children.[3] She also works with Diabetes Ireland, Women's Aid, Temple Street Hospital.
