Maluks is a dancehall, reggae, cumbia and drum and bass music group created in 2019 in Benimaclet by Nuria Pons (voice), Marina Bolea (voice), Laura Honrubia (voice) and Maria Deltell (musical base and DJ). They all have a vital past related to music, with training in different instruments such as guitar, violin and cello. Their lyrics are about political and social aspects from a feminist point of view and they have collaborated with groups such as La Fúmiga, Pupil·les, Chalart58 and Tremenda Jauría, amongst others.[1]
Their third single, «Contra l'oblit» was an homage to those female antifascist fighters from the past and the present, such as Neus Català, who devote their life to defend freedom. They counted with the collaboration of Carles Belda with the diatonic button accordion and the illustrations of Elies Taño for the music video. They have performed at festivals such as Viña Rock, Feslloc and Festivern.[2]
