Manoj Menda
Manoj Menda (born 7th January 1968) is an Indian businessman, real estate developer and Co-owner of RMZ Corp.[1]
He is an alumnus of Rochester Institute of Technology, New York. The Wall Street Journal includes Manoj Menda among the 'World's 100 Most Influential Business Leaders.[2]
He is one of the Governors for Infrastructure and Urban Development by World Economic Forum.[3]
Early life and career
Manoj Menda was born on 7th January 1968 in Bangalore, India to Arjun and Asha Menda. He completed his early schooling from St. Josephs European High School, Bangalore and then went on to study civil engineering in BMS College of Engineering where he graduated, achieving a gold medal for his academic excellence in the batch of 1990. In 1992, he completed his MBA in Finance from Rochester Institute of Technology. Upon completion of his education, Manoj worked with his family business, K Raheja Group, that was founded by his grandfather Lachmandas Raheja in 1956, as a third-generation leader. The group split in 1996, upon which each third-generation leader formed their businesses.[4][5]
Philanthropy
In 2015, his wife, Anu Menda, and he established the RMZ Foundation, a non-government organisation, to promote the well-being of humanity throughout the country. The Foundation works towards four focus areas - Sustainability, Urban Innovations, Resilient Communities and Art.[6]
Memberships
Manoj Menda is a member of World Economic Forum[7] and CEO Council of The Wall Street Journal.[8] He is also a member of Urban Land Institute[9] and advisory board of Global Real Estate Institute.[10]
In 2002, Menda along with his brother Raj founded RMZ Corp. and built a B2B model of building real estate solutions for enterprises. With the booming of offshoring and outsourcing to India, he focused his efforts on working with only large Fortune 500 companies to not only build a product but provide them with a solution.[11][12]
