Manoutchehr Eskandari-Qajar

Manoutchehr Eskandari-Qajar (born 1956 in Vienna) is an Austrian-Persian scholar and chair of the Political Science and Economics department of Santa Barbara City College, where he also is director of Middle East Studies. He received his MA from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 1982 and his PhD from the same university in 1984.[1]

Eskandari-Qajar is co-founder of the International Qajar Studies Association (IQSA) (2000) and was its president from 2000 until 2017.[2] He is a regular contributor to IQSA's journal Qajar Studies. In 2014 he published his translation of Tarikh-e 'Azodi. Life at the court of the early Qajar Shahs with Mage Publishers, which he thoroughly edited and annotated.[3]
