Adnan Shennib (Arabic: عدنان شنيب Adnan Shennib) is the youngest son of Ahmed Fouad Shennib, born in the United States and raised in Benghazi, Libya.
In 1977, he left Libya to study in the United States at the University of California, Santa Barbara, then obtained a master's degree in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Texas.
Adnan Shennib later settled in Silicon Valley, Northern California becoming an inventor/entrepreneur in the medical device field.
He holds over 100 US and international patents, and has founded several medical device firms including Insound Medical, Inc.[1] His innovations includes co-invention of predictive text messaging,[2] widely used in mobile communication world-wide, and the inventor and founder of Lyric hearing.[3] Innovations developed by Adnan Shennib were featured on CNN, Good Morning America, Dr. Oz Show, and Popular Science and Inc. Magazine.[4]
