The Fencibles Badminton Club is a badminton club from the Isle of Man.
History[edit]
The Fencibles Badminton Club is a Badminton England accredited badminton club which competes on the Isle of Man.[1] The Fencibles take their name from the Royal Manx Fencibles, and infantry regiment in the British Army which consisted mainly of Manx men. The club was founded in 1948 and is one of the most important badminton clubs from the island. The club won numerous team titles in the local competitions.
The Fencibles Badminton Club also has a junior section.[1]
Achievements[edit]
Roberta Cannell[2] from the Fencibles Badminton Club participated in the 1982 Commonwealth Games, Ann Corlett[3] in the 1970 Games, Cristen Callow[4] in the 2010 Games.
