Mara Lejins (born 11 April 1995)[1] is an Australian television quiz personality, known for being one of the "Chasers" on The Chase Australia.[2] Lejins joined as a Chaser in 2022 and is nicknamed "The Smiling Assassin".[2]

Lejins is so far the youngest-ever Chaser, starting in the role at 27 years old.[3][2] Lejins started in the trivia world as a contestant on Beat The Chasers in 2021, walking away with $58,000 in winnings.[2][4] Lejins says her interest in trivia started when she discovered pub trivia while at university, and "appreciated the free meals you could win."[3]

Lejins graduated from the Australian National University with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of International Relations in 2018.[5] She was admitted as a lawyer in March 2019 and is registered to practice as a solicitor in New South Wales.[6][7] She is currently studying for her Master's of Law at Columbia University in New York.[3]
