Marat Dzhaudatovich Sharipov (Russian: Марат Джаудатович Шарипов; born 9 October 2002) is a Russian tennis player. He is the winner of thirteen ITF tournaments, five in singles. He is among the top-10 Russian men's singles tennis players. Two-time champion of Russia in doubles (2022, 2023).[1]

Sharipov has a career high ATP singles ranking of No. 349 achieved on 19 February 2024. He also has a career high ATP doubles ranking of No. 413 achieved on 22 August 2022.[2]

2022[edit]

In August 2022, he became the silver medalist at the All-Russian Spartakiad in Summer Sports among the strongest athletes, losing to compatriot Ivan Nedelko in the final with a score of 3-6, 2-6.

In September 2022, he became the absolute winner of the Kazan Kremlin Cup International Tennis Tournament, defeating compatriot Ivan Nedelko in the singles final with a score of 4-6, 6-3, 6-4. In the doubles of this tournament, he also took the championship title, where they, together with Ilia Simakin, beat Maksim Starostin and Evgeny Philippov in the final with a score of 7-5, 6-3.

2024[edit]

In January 2024, in Nonthaburi (Thailand), he made his debut at the Challenger series tournaments in singles, where he first beat Turkish representative Ergi Kırkın (4-6, 7-6, 6-3) in qualifying, then due to the refusal of the match due to injury to Australian Bernard Tomic and reached the main draw of the tournament. In the first round, he beat USA representative Tennys Sandgren (7-5, 6-4), in the second round he broke the resistance of Belgian Kimmer Coppejans (6-3, 6-4), but at the quarterfinals stage he lost to South Korean representative Hong Seong-chan in three sets with a score of 6-3, 3-6, 2-6.
