Margaret Fernandez was a candidate for Minnesota state house representative in District 30B in east-central Minnesota. The district includes several of the northern suburbs of the Twin Cities, including Albertville, Hanover, Otsego, and St. Michael. Her opponent in the 2016 election is incumbent Eric Lucero, a Republican.

2016 election[edit]

On June 16, 2016, Fernandez announced her campaign as a member of the Minnesota Democratic–Farmer–Labor Party for the upcoming election in District 30B in Minnesota.[1] According to the politician herself, her priorities lie with education and taxes, the latter of which she claimed: "We do not need to raise taxes on the middle class but we need to reprioritize spending."[2]
