Maria Konstanse Bruun is an artist.

Born 1977 in Namsos in Norway, Bruun studied in England at Bournemouth Arts University and in Norway University of Oslo, graduating in 2010. She is best known for her photographic self-portraits where she juxtaposes everyday mundane objects with her own physical body to create absurd and uncanny scenes that explore the female condition and the relationship between the self and its surroundings.

Bruuns work have been exhibited internationally in places like The National Portrait Gallery and The Royal Academy of Arts in London. Her latest solo exhibitions were at Kunstbanken Hedemark Kunstsenter and Kunstmuseet Nord Trøndelag in Norway.
