Marian Drew is an Australian photographic artist living and working in Queensland. Notable bodies of work include Australiana, Strata and Devonian Flesh. Marian Drew is one of Australia's most influential and significant photo-media artists.[1] Drew's practice is notable for innovative photo-media explorations including long exposure techniques.[2] Drew's art practice explores themes of landscape, performance, time, death, rock, beauty and the still-life, and her work is taught as a part of the HSC in Visual Arts.[3]


Marian Drew is represented by Andrew Baker Gallery Brisbane, This is no Fantasy + Dianne Tanzer, Melbourne; Michael Reid Galleries, Sydney and Berlin.


She is an Adjunct Associate Professor at the Queensland College of Art, Griffith University. Drew was previously the Director of Director of the Photography Program between 2005-2016 at the Queensland College of Art (QCA), and QCA Deputy Director, 2001-2003, where she taught full time 1986-2016.[1]
