In 2019, Matiss published a novel in Russian called "Nevesomost", meaning “Zero Gravity,”[1][3] which is being translated into English.[11][12]
She was nominated for the national literature prize "Poet of the Year" for 2021[3][13] in Russia and received a gold medal of Fet (named after Afanasy Fet) for her contribution to the Russian literature.[4][13]
In early 2020, she started her solo career as a singer. Her first music video and single "Phoboslight" was about a mission to Mars,[14][15] in the video some footage of Amelia Earhard was also featured as an homage for her contributions to aviation and space exploration.[16] She also released "The Choice," on which she worked with David Palau, Spanish guitarist and producer known for his work with Alejandro Sanz, David Bisbal and Toto.[17]
Her other singles include "More than Heaven"[9] and "El Perdón," which were produced by Arthur Pingrey who is known for his work with Sia and Sting.[9][18][19]
In November 2020, she released her second music video for the single "El Perdón," which Matiss wrote about her difficult past relationships.[20] In the video she burns an old piano on the beach of Barcelona.[21][22]
