Marina Shafir (born April 14, 1988) is an Moldavian former mixed martial artist and a professional wrestler currently signed to WWE under their developmental territory NXT.

Mixed Martial Arts[edit]

Before taking on professional wrestling Marina Shafir was a Judoka and MMA fighter.[1][2] After a 1-1 pro career Marina Shafir joined Invicta FC.[3]

On May 7, 2018, WWE announced that Shafir, along with Jessamyn Duke, had signed with WWE and reported to their Performance Center for training. [4]

Personal life[edit]

Shafir got engaged to professional wrestler Christopher Lindsey, better known by the in-ring name of Roderick Strong in December 2015.[5] In October 2016, Shafir and Strong announced that they were expecting a child together.[6] On April 24, 2017, Shafir gave birth to their first child, Troy Veniamin Lindsey.
