Mario Kleff (born 21 November 1967) is an architect and entrepreneur based in Thailand. He is known for his work in Pattaya on projects that emphasize long-span concrete construction and exposed structural systems.[1] Earlier in his career, while in Germany, he produced historical manuscript reproductions, notably of the Book of Kells.[2]
Early life
Kleff was born in Boppard, Germany. In the early 1990s, while in Germany, he worked on reproductions of the Book of Kells, an illuminated manuscript dating to around the 9th century. His work focused on historical techniques, including vellum preparation and the use of traditional pigments. Between 1990 and 2001, he produced several manuscript folios based on the original. Some of these folios were exhibited at the Gutenberg Museum in Mainz and the Trier Cathedral Museum.[3] [4]
Career in Thailand
Kleff established his architectural practice in Thailand, primarily in the Chonburi region. He worked on residential developments in Pattaya, including Wongamat Tower and Laguna Heights.[5] His designs use reinforced concrete construction, including post-tensioned and prestressed systems, as well as cellular beam structures. Some projects feature extended structural spans and emphasize exposed structural elements as part of the overall design.[6] Kleff has worked under his own name and in association with Wandeegroup Asia Co., Ltd.[7]

Personal life
In January 2016, Kleff was granted Thai nationality by the Ministry of Interior, as published in the Royal Thai Government Gazette. Upon naturalization, he adopted the name Bhumeth Issarasilp;[9] he later changed his name to Thiti Teerachin. Kleff has also been associated with the care of leopards. Authorities from the Department of National Parks and local police investigated the case and determined that the ownership was legal, provided that regulatory requirements—such as proper documentation and secure enclosures—were met.[10]
