Mark Allman (born October 6, 1982) is a British DJ and electronic musician from Jaywick, Essex, UK. He is known for his extraordinary mixing skills and regularly live streams on his Facebook channel where he has more than 120,000 followers.[1]
Biography
Allman was born in Walthamstow, London, England to Beverly and Bancroft Allman. He is the nephew of former footballer Keith Cassells. At the age of three, Allman moved to Tottenham. He attended Gladesmore Community School, and after completion of his schooling, Allman joined University of Bedfordshire. In between his time at Gladesmore Community School and University of Bedfordshire, he studied performing arts at Hammersmith and West London College. After finishing at Bedfordshire university, Allman studied for a master's at Thames Valley University in Brentford to pursue a degree in performing arts. Currently, he is also one of the highest educated mobile DJs.
Career
Popularly known as DJ Best-Price, Allman is known for his distinctive & energetic DJing. He is mainly involved in mixing trance music and Ragga & Jungle music. He always had a taste for music and used to listen to Heartless Crew in his teens. Allman started DJing in 1998 when his father bought him a set of Technic decks. He used to buy records from a store named 'Bodymusic' in Tottenham. Although Allman was making music for a long time, his breakthrough came in 2019 when he started to livestream his music on Facebook. And within less than a year, he gained 120,000+ followers on Facebook. And he got an invite to perform at Amazon headquarters in London.
When he entered the mobile disco circuit, he was charging a very low amount of just £80 for 4 hours of DJing. And it caused an uproar among his fellow mobile disco DJs.
