Mark Lombardo, known professionally by the pseudonym RRAREBEAR, is an American music producer and multi-instrumentalist.

Career

Lombardo began taking music seriously as a teenager, when his older brother, a drummer and guitarist, asked him to buy a bass guitar so they could jam. Lombardo played bass for a number of different bands while in high school and college, where he attended and graduated from SUNY Oneonta with a degree in music[1][2]. Eventually, he taught himself acoustic guitar, and began experimenting with multi-track recording, synthesizers, and eventually, ambient music. After a number of smaller, solo projects, Lombardo would eventually go on to be the vocalist and keyboard player in the Albany, New York based chillwave duo, Titanics, with longtime friend Derek Rogers. Titanic's first full-length album, Soft Treasure[3][4], was released in Winter 2013.[5][6][7][8][9][10] Since 2016, Lombardo has worked with a number of musical artists as a record producer and provider of instrumental backing tracks, including Phora, Rod Wave, Jay Prince, $Not, and others. [11][12] He has also provided music for NPR on the news program Morning Edition.[13][14][15]
