Mark McDowell (born January 2, 1990) is a Thai business executive, entrepreneur, and content producer.[1] He is a co-founder and serves as the CEO of Primal Digital Agency, in addition to being a co-founder of Syndatrace.
Additionally, McDowell holds the position of Communications Chair in the Bangkok Metropolitan Chapter of the Entrepreneurs’ Organisation.[2][3]
Early life and education[edit]
McDowell was born in Bangkok, Thailand, where he attended Bangkok Patana School from 1994 to 2008.[3][4] He completed his higher education at the University of Otago in New Zealand, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in commerce and business administration in 2013.[5]
Career[edit]
McDowell began his career as a website developer, working as a freelancer and creating websites during his university studies.[6][7]
Upon his return to Bangkok, he assumed the role of marketing manager at a small barbecue business.[5]
In 2013, McDowell relocated to Melbourne, Australia, where he worked as a performance marketing account manager at WME.[8][9]
Upon his return to Thailand in 2015, he co-founded Primal Digital Agency, a digital marketing agency headquartered in Thailand and Malaysia.[10][11][12]
In 2018, McDowell was honored as the Young Achiever of the Year by Campaign Asia and received the Young Professional Award from TIBA.[2][6][13]
In 2020, he earned a spot on the Forbes 30 Under 30 list.[14][15]
In 2022, McDowell co-founded Syndatrace, a company that offers digital marketing services and AI-powered analytics tools.[16]
