Rati Wattanakornprasit is a Thai video game developer. He is best known for developing video games such as Mist Survival.
Career[edit]
Rati started playing games since age five or six on his dad's Windows 3.1 PC.[1] From then, he loved to play many games such as Prehisto, VIC, Prince of Persia 12, Paperboy, and various DOS games. With this love of games, when Rati started high school, he grew determined to become a game developer in the future, spawning his ambition to begin studying programming.[2] His favorite types of games include first-person shooters, action, and turn-based role-playing games.[3]
Rati first started in the gaming industry with the mobile app company Yggdrazil Group in 2014, makers of Home Sweet Home. He left his job twice; once for a mobile role-playing game between 2012–2013, and the second time for Mist Survival (2016–present).[4]
Rati's most prominent game is his currently solo-developed game, Mist Survival, which he worked on for one year and eight months with only one vacation every couple of months.[5] Mist Survival was released in Early Access on August 15th, 2018, and remains under development. The game receives updates each week. A few days following its early access release, the game reached its highest surge of players on the game-hosting platform Steam where it ranked the top most popular zombie and survival game[citation needed].
