Martin Davídek (born December 31, 1966 in Prague) is a Czech Roman Catholic priest and canon lawyer and Vicar General of the Diocese of Litoměřice.

After graduating from high school, Martin Davídek trained in the field of typography (1985) and worked editorially, preparing books and magazines for printing. In 1995, he trained for the priesthood at the Theological Propaedeutic in Litoměřice and continued his studies at the Catholic Theological Faculty of Charles University in Prague until graduating in 2001. In the same year he was ordained deacon and appointed prefect at the theological propaedeutic in Litoměřice. He taught basic theology. On June 29, 2002, he was ordained to the priesthood in St. Stephen's Cathedral in Litoměřice by Bishop Josef Koukl. He was chaplain at St. Stephen's Cathedral and, among other things, cared for the St. Stephen's Hospice in Litoměřice. At the same time he became director of the Cardinal Trochta Diocesan House. In 2003 he moved from Litoměřice to Děčín, where he was also parish administrator. He took care of the Vietnamese parish and the local parish of Hřensko. At the end of 2005, he became secretary to bishop Pavel Posád, and since 2008 he has also been secretary to his successor, bishop Jan Baxant.

Davídek also served as spokesman for the Diocese of Litoměřice and was a member of the editorial board of the Catholic weekly. In 2008-2009 he was the editor of the magazine Zdislava. From 2009 to 2012 he studied Canon Law at the Lateran University in Rome. Since 2011 he has been a member of the Cathedral Chapter of St. Stephen in Litoměřice. In 2012, he was appointed episcopal vicar for pastoral issues.

Since February 1, 2013, he has served as parish administrator in Libochovany. On March 1, 2013, he was appointed a judge at the Prague Metropolitan Ecclesiastical Court. On January 1, 2015, he assumed the office of church attorney (promotor iustitiae) and matrimonial defender (defensor vinculi) at the ecclesiastical court of the Litoměřice diocese.

On June 22, 2016, he was appointed by Bishop Baxant as the new Vicar General of the Litoměřice Diocese. He took office on July 1, 2016.[1]
