Marvin Francis

Marvin Francis (1955–2005) was a poet from Winnipeg, Manitoba best known for his long poem City Treaty published by Turnstone Press.[1][2] Francis was born in northern Alberta and lived in Edmonton before relocating to Winnipeg where he wrote short stories and radio plays in addition to his poetry. A second volume of poetry, Bush Camp, was published posthumously in 2008.[3] He was a member of the Heart Lake First Nation.[4]
