Mary Hicks (professor)
Mary Hicks is a professor Emeritus at Florida State University, Tallahassee, Florida.[1] Mary Ward Hicks taught at Florida State University for 30 years in the Interdivisional Program of Marriage and the Family.[citation needed] Before coming to Florida State University in 1973, Hicks received the award of “Outstanding Educator of America” in 1972.[2][not in citation given] Hicks received the Ernest G. Osborne Teaching Award from the National Council on Family Relations.[3] Educated at the University of Idaho and the University of California, Hicks received her PhD in Child Development from Pennsylvania State University.[citation needed]
