Mary Concepcion Tamayo Matias (born 7 December 1996, Manila, Philippines) is a Filipino author of Ms. Lumi, the Teaching Candle[1][2] and The Impatient Grasshopper.[3] Both books were published at the St. Paul Publication in Makati, Philippines.

Personal life[edit]

She was born at University of Santo Tomas Hospital last 7 December 1996. She was the first and the eldest among her siblings. She was baptized in St. Francis of Assisi Parish, a Catholic Church in Mandaluyong City.

Education[edit]

Mary started her preschool life in St. Paul College in Pasig City. After she graduated preschool, she continued her elementary school life in St. Paul College from 1st Grade to 3rd Grade. She transferred from St. Paul College to Lorenzo Ruiz de Manila School in Cainta, Rizal, where she continued her 4th Grade until 10th Grade. After she graduated Junior Highschool in Lorenzo Ruiz de Manila School, she transferred to Miriam College in Quezon City, where she continued studying college there.

Organizations[edit]

She joined a religious group called Lectors and Commentators when she was a student in Lorenzo Ruiz de Manila School. Years later, she left the group after she graduated Junior Highschool in Lorenzo Ruiz de Manila School.
