Masaharu Seno, Ph.D. (born 1956) is a Japanese molecular biologist and a cancer research scientist known for work on Cripto-1 gene with David S. Salomon a co-discoverd of Cripto-1.[1] [2]. He is son of a famous Japanese scientist Satimaru Seno, MD (1915-2007) [3]. His areas of research currently include cancer stem cells, microenvironment and small molecule inhibitors [4]

Masaharu born in Okayama, Japan in 1956. Son of Satimaru and Fusako Seno. Studied in Osaka university, and worked after that as scientist at Takeda Chemical Industries and at 1989 he get Doctor of Philosophy from Osaka University, Japan.From 2001 he worked as Associate professor in Protein Engineering at Okayama University. He got professorship at Okayama university at 2007. He awarded Okayama Foundation Science and Technical award, 1995, and Kudodh Foundation Cancer Research, 1993.[5]

Masaharu seno was in first team who succeed to sequence rat basic fibroblast growth factor and laterally succeeded to produce recombinant bFGF at takeda company [6].[7] He has been known also for his work in cancer stem cell area as he create World’s first cancer stem cell model from iPS cells.[8]
