Math Genie(Math Genie Learning Center) is a New Jersey based learning center teaching Abacus Math, Reading, Common Core & Coding.

History[edit]

Owner and founder Mohit Jain came up with the idea for an abacus based tutoring company when he took a trip to Asia. Realizing that children have a natural intuition for patterns and numbers, Mohit developed an entertaining and engaging way to teach math.[1]

Math Genie method of learning[edit]

Math Genie is unique in their approach to after school tutoring by teaching their students to do math using the abacus. In addition to Common Core teaching, Math Genie instructors educate their students in mental math practices using abacus.[2]

Instructors[edit]

Math Genie is a franchise model with Math Genie learning Centers run by a senior Instructor and a team of Center Assistants. All Math Genie Instructors are qualified and trained in the teaching of the Math Genie method and are supported by Math Genie office staff. Math Genie Instructors are considered experts in the Math Genie curriculum, observing students’ study habits and individualizing the programs to suit a student's ability. Math Genie Assistants are trained by Math Genie Instructors.
