Mathias Lundoe Nielsen
Mathias Lundoe Nielsen (born 2 July 1989) is a Danish blockchain developer, venture builder, award-winning entrepreneur[1] and investor. Founder an CEO of Nustay.
Early life[edit]
Mathias was born in Randers, Denmark. He studied at Randers Private School. He took his secondary education in Henley Business School,[2] completed the CBL programme (Certificate of Business and Leadership).
Career[edit]
In 2008, he founded the company Hardcasa, which sells menswear online.[3] At the Entrepreneurship Festival Bizz Up, Mathias was named the Entrepreneur of the Year in Randers 2013 for his webshop Hardcasa.dk.[4]
In 2014, Mathias became a Director of Business Development for SmartOSC LLC in Scandinavia.
Since June 2014, he has been an organizer of TEDx KEA. In December 2015, he did a TEDx talk at the Royal Library in Copenhagen, with the topic 'How to Monetize Big Data'. It is the most viewed TEDx talk about Big Data.[5]
In September 2014, Mathias founded[6] the online hotel booking platform Nustay,[7] which offers most suitable hotels after analyzing personal profiles.[8][9] In under six years, Nustay grew from a start-up to a global player in the travel industry with over 200 employees across offices in two countries.[10] In November 2018, Nustay was the only SMB in the world selected by the giant Google to be a part of their Beta launch of Google Hotel Ads.[11] Nustay IPO'ed in Sweden in 2019.[12] As Bloomberg News reported in June 12, 2019, Nustay filed a suit against Booking Holdings Inc. and Expedia Group Inc. for trying to prevent the company from offering cheaper hotel rates.[13]
In January 2017, he started investing in Ticombo, a marketplace for buying and selling live event tickets.[14]
In October 2020, Mathias founded Nielsen Finance LLC, a boutique startup advisory firm.[15][16][17]
He then co-founded Tacans[18] in March 2021, and became it’s Group CEO.[19][20]
In August 2021, he co-founded SpaceSeven,[21][22] the Nordic region's first NFT marketplace for art.[23][24]
In September 2021, he also became an investor of Parlametric, an award winning tech company from Lund in Sweden. He stopped investing in December 2021.
In January 2021, he became a Senior Advisor in 2021.AI (AI technology company).[25]
