Mathieu de Lophem, born 15 January 1984 in Uccle, Belgium, is currently the CEO of SKIPR SA (formerly Pikaway). From 2015 to 2018, he was manager of Deliveroo Benelux and launched the food delivery service in Belgium.[1] In 2019, de Lophem co-founded Skipr to solve mobility challenges facing Belgium, and Europe as a whole.[2]

Early career & Deliveroo Belgium[edit]

Mathieu de Lophem began his career as a consultant at Deloitte, and later became an investment banker in London at Keefe, Bruyette & Woods, and Lazard. He later went on to work in private equity at E-capital before launching Deliveroo in Belgium at the General Manager and first employee in 2015. In 3 years, he grew Deliveroo from a team of 6 to nearly 100 people. Credited to bringing €29M in additional revenue to the restaurant industry, Deliveroo's Belgian operations created jobs for nearly 2,000 individuals.[3]

Skipr & mobility sector[edit]

In early 2019, de Lophem co-founded SKIPR SA [4] with Gregory Liénart, Stéphane Dehousse, and Toby Allen. The technology platform allows anyone in Belgium with a VAT number claim expenses for alternative transportation and shared mobility services found directly on the Skipr mobile application. Skipr helps professionals access mobility benefits, like found in Belgium.[5]
