Matthew "Nando" Kelly (born February 27,[1] 1989) is an American film critic, YouTuber, writer, and former actor. He started working at The Pop Break on June 2016, and at March 2018, he started working on Nando v Movies.

Life and career[edit]

Matthew Kelly grew up in Hackensack, New Jersey. He had a short-lived acting career in the mid-90s with a role in both Pebble Hill and Reunion. He worked as a freelance writer for a year before taking up a job at The Pop Break in 2014 where he worked as both Senior Staff Writer and a Managing Editor. It was 2018 that he started his YouTube channel Nando v Movies.

On his YouTube channel, Matthew frequently videos about comic book movies, specifically covering how the Marvel Cinematic Universe and DC Extended Universe work internally. In accordance to his channels catchphrase, "rewriting popular movies to prove that one small change can make a big difference," a lot of these videos are about small changes to these movies that could help clarify the message they are telling.

In anticipation of the movie Avengers: Endgame, Matthew started to create and collect a series of videos in called One Marvelous Scene in which 173 fans celebrated their favorite scenes in the decade long series of movies. In July 2020, he helped collated the same series of videos called One X-Cellent Scenes, which were about the X-Men movies, and not of the MCU.

In June 2019, Nebula, Matthew helped launch the creator-owned streaming service was launched with support by creators Adam Neely, boyinaband, BrainCraft, The Great War, hbomberguy, Isaac Arthur, Kat Blaque, Lindsay Ellis, Medlife Crisis, MinutePhysics, PhilosophyTube, Rene Ritchie, Tom Scott, Todd in the Shadows, and Wendover Productions/Half as Interesting.
