In 1993 he married Julie Ansara, but in 1995 they were divorced. On June 25, 2001, Ansara was found dead in his pickup truck outside a gas station in suburban Los Angeles, the result of a heroin overdose.[1] He was 35 years old. At the time of his death, Ansara was engaged to be married to Leanna Green just six weeks later.
