Matthew Salleh and Rose Tucker
Matthew Salleh (born 1983) and Rose Tucker (born 1985) are an Australian documentary filmmaking team.[1]. Their films are noted for their global perspective, being filmed in as many as a dozen countries[2]. In 2017, their debut feature Barbecue premiered at the SXSW Film Festival[3]. The film was picked up by Netflix[4], and was the recipient of the 2018 James Beard Foundation Award for Best Documentary[5]. Their 2020 feature, We Don't Deserve Dogs, was selected to premiere in competition at the 2020 SXSW film festival[6], until it was canceled due to COVID-19 pandemic[7]. The film later screened at the Warsaw Film Festival[8]
Salleh and Tucker are currently based in Brooklyn, NY.
