When Otterloo was 15 years old, he joined the Cycleswap team on a part-time basis as a co-owner; Cycleswap was launched on June 1, 2015.[4] Cycleswap is a peer-to-peer bicycle sharing network and has been acquired by Spinlister in 2016 for an undisclosed amount.[2]

In 2017 Otterloo was invited to the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference 2017 on a scholarship ticket.[5][6] Algemeen Dagblad described Otterloo as a young software whizzkid.[3] Otterloo was included in "De jonge 100" in 2016 and 2019 and the "T500" in 2017 and 2018, two lists of young promising entrepreneurs under 25 in the Netherlands.[7][8]
