Mattos was a railroad station on the Centerville branch of the South Pacific Coast Railroad[2] in Alameda County, California. It was located at Blacow and Central avenues in Fremont, California,[2] 1.5 miles (2.4 km) northeast of downtown Newark.[3] The name is in honor John Garcia Mattos, Sr., who settled here in 1879.[3]
