Maudie Wilson (née McRobie; March 23, 1908 – October 2018) was a New Zealand Supercentenarian. She was one of the oldest people known in New Zealand when she died.
Biography
She was born as Frances Maude McRobie on March 23, 1908, in Invercargill, New Zealand. She met her husband, Bill Wilson, when she was about 10 years old, and they married in 1929 and were married for about 56 years. Her husband died in 1992. They had three children named Fay, Lyndsay, and Frances. Wilson had 3 children, 9 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren. She became the oldest living person in New Zealand on March 14, 2011, then aged 107, following the death of 109-year-old Lena Ray. She was affectionately known as "Maudie".
Death
Frances Maude Wilson passed away in October 2018[1] in Invercargill, New Zealand, at the age of 110 years, 215 days. She was succeeded as New Zealand's oldest person by 109-year-old Peg Griffin.
