Max Sebrechts (born May 12, 1980) is a Belgian-American model, actor, and business consultant. He has worked in the fashion industry and served as the executive producer of the Miss USA pageant.
Early life and education
Sebrechts was born in Wilrijk, a suburb of Antwerp, Belgium. His father, Tony Sebrechts, served as mayor of Schoten,[1][2] and his mother, Martine Sebrechts, worked as a fashion photographer.[2] He earned a master’s degree in Applied Economic Sciences from the University of Antwerp (1999–2004) and later studied Mandarin and business at the University of International Business and Economics in Beijing. Sebrechts also holds an MBA from Pepperdine University.[3]
Career
Sebrechts began his modeling career with IMG Models before working with Ford Models and LA Models.[4][5] He appeared in campaigns for brands including Calvin Klein, Hugo Boss, Gucci, Rolex, and Tommy Hilfiger.[6][5] He is represented by modeling agencies across the United States.[7][8][9]
Sebrechts pursued acting, appearing as Officer Katz in the 2012 film Hello Herman[10] and in the Belgian television show Vlaamse Hollywood Vrouwen in 2010.[11][12] He trained under acting coaches Bob Corff and Margie Haber.
Sebrechts co-founded MISS Academy with his wife, Crystle Stewart.[13][14] He also worked in design and construction, collaborating with Renson on projects such as outdoor lounges for Amazon’s headquarters in Austin and Delta Airlines’ airport lounges.[15][3]
From 2020 to 2022, Sebrechts served as the executive producer of the Miss USA pageant, which was streamed on Hulu.
Personal life
Sebrechts married Crystle Stewart, a former Miss USA 2008, on August 9, 2014.[16][1][17][18][19] They have two children, Anne-Jolie[20] and Max Jr.[21] The couple later separated.[22][23]
