Medha Shri or Medha Shri Dahiya is an Indian journalist.[1].

Career

Medha Shri started her career with Network 18. She joined The Times of India in 2008[2]. Later, she worked as the Assistant Editor at Creative Nest Media, and for magazines such as Atelier and Wedding Vows. In 2013 she joined Hindustan Times, where she headed the Arts, City and Culture team[1]. In 2020, she joined os.me as the Editor in Chief[3].

She has written extensively on pop culture[4][5][6], films, celebrities[7][8], unsung heroes[9], books[10][11], authors[12] and has pursued human-interest stories[13].

Medha Shri studied at Motilal Nehru School of Sports. She became the Haryana State Swimming Champion in 2001. She pursued a Bachelor of Arts (honours) in English at Miranda House, Delhi University. She was elected as the General Secretary in 2005 of Miranda House Students’ Union. In 2006-07, she was elected as the President of Miranda House Students’ Union. She also became a member of Delhi University Student Union (DUSU).

In 2001, she became the Haryana State Swimming Champion. In 2006, she participated in the Delhi State Soft Ball Championship and her team secured second position.

Controversy

In 2016, Medha Shri published an interview of hairstylist Sapna Bhavnani in Hindustan Times[14]. Sapna Bhavnani tweeted saying she was quoted out of context. Medha responded saying Sapna’s claim was false. The controversy escalated and was covered by major media houses, with both parties claiming their version to be true.
