Medison Pharma Group (“Medison”) is a pharmaceutical company[1] that specializes in the multi-regional commercialization of highly innovative therapies[2] developed and manufactured by biotechnology companies, primarily in the fields of oncology,[3] hematology,[4] neurology[5] and rare diseases.[6]

As a global partner for multinational biotechnology companies, Medison’s partners include pharma heavyweights, such as: Amgen,[7] Biogen, Vertex Pharmaceuticals,[8] Ipsen,[9] Array Biopharma,[10] BioMarin Pharmaceutical, Alnylam Pharmaceuticals,[11], BeiGene[12] and Moderna.[13]

The company was founded in 1996 in Israel by Meir Jakobsohn, who has been serving as CEO[14] since its inception. In Israel, Medison solidified its position to become one of the top specialty pharma companies in Israel[15] and in 2020 became one of the top three pharma companies in Israel.[16]

Medison operates through three arms that each manage a different territorial area: Medison Israel,[17] which is the largest pharma partner in Israel for delivering innovative therapies,[18] Medison Canada[19] and Medison CEE, which operates in Central Eastern Europe, including Switzerland,[20] Romania,[21] Slovakia,[22] Slovania,[23] Bulgaria[24] and Hungary. [25]

The group's headquarters is in Petah Tikva, Israel, with regional offices in Toronto and Bucharest.

Medison has an in-house research body that evaluates and examines technologies and developments in all areas of the company's expertise.[26] It also has an investment arm called Medison Ventures,[27] which acts as an active investor in life science projects[28] around drug development and digital health, including through a partnership in an eHealth venture technology incubator.[29]
