Mifram Ltd. is an Israeli contractor and manufacturer, operating in the fields of civil engineering, steel and concrete structures, physical protection, light construction, and prefabricated construction.
History and activity
Mifram was founded in 1962 and is headquartered in Israel and the United States. Since its establishment, it has been involved in national and international projects, including construction work at critical infrastructure facilities, factories, and public institutions.[1] The company carries out projects in Israel and in other countries, including remote sites and developing countries, and specializes in adapting protection and construction solutions for threatened areas.[2]
Fields of activity

- Industrial projects and civil construction: Construction of factories, buildings, and bridges; manufacturing of vessels and distillation towers; piping systems and gas channels; building industrial equipment systems and connecting them to infrastructure. This activity also includes planning and building mobile and permanent concrete and steel shelters in various sizes, including foldable shelters and prefabricated reinforced rooms ("mamad").[3]
- Complex projects: Manufacturing and erection of communication towers, antennas, lifting installations, modular structures and dedicated containers, dry-storage facilities, trailers, and tankers. The company also performs engineering renovations in active facilities ("live sites") while maintaining operational continuity.
- Physical protection: Design and production of physical-protection solutions for security, civilian, and government facilities. Protection areas include critical infrastructure, hospitals, command-and-control facilities, maintenance facilities, armories, and protected mobile structures. Some products are intended to withstand threats such as gunfire, break-ins, blast, shrapnel, and rockets, in accordance with military and civilian protection standards.[4]

- Vehicle barriers: Development and installation of hostile vehicle mitigation (HVM) barriers, including portable and fixed modular systems intended to mitigate vehicle-ramming threats. Its MVB series includes the MVB3X and MVB3XL models, reported as tested against vehicles weighing up to 40 tons at speeds up to 80 km/h.[5]
- Lifting/transportation: Design of heavy-load bridging ramps, dedicated trailers for transporting steel, double-deck transport solutions, and trailers for cargo with unusual weight and dimensions.
- Post-disaster and terror-attack rehabilitation: Rehabilitation of buildings and infrastructure damaged by fires, earthquakes, flooding, or combat damage, including upgrades to electricity, communications, and air-conditioning systems.
- Seismic strengthening: Strengthening private and public buildings, including schools and public buildings, using methods that include steel, concrete, and carbon-fiber sheets.
- Dry storage: Establishment of humidity-controlled storage facilities for preserving equipment for long periods in industrial sites, security facilities, and energy companies.
- Special works: Engineering projects in developing countries and remote areas; transport of port cranes and equipment weighing up to 2,000 tons; and construction of protected facilities in cooperation with United Nations bodies, militaries, ports, and railway companies.

International activity and customers
Mifram is registered as a contractor in civil engineering and structural construction, and as a supplier to Israel's Ministry of Defense and to the United Nations. Its activities comply with the international quality standard ISO 9001.[6][7][8]
The company's customers include government bodies, local authorities, the Israel Defense Forces, the Ministry of Defense, policing and enforcement agencies, health institutions, the education system, electricity and energy companies, financial and industrial institutions, as well as international organizations including the United Nations and the United States military (including the Air Force, Navy, and Marines).[9][10]

Notable projects
Projects listed include: protection work on the roof of the Knesset plenum; protection of Ziv and Soroka hospitals; construction of shelters and protected spaces for educational institutions and communities; supply of MVB barriers for the Athens Olympics, Paris, and Australia; installation of barriers at stadiums, holy sites, and military bases; supply of hundreds of protected structures to the UN; and construction of extensive security fencing for airports and industrial facilities in Israel and worldwide.[11][12][13]
