Mehr Tarar (born 2 March 1968[1]) is a Pakistani journalist and works as Assistant Editor with Daily Times.
Early Life
Mehr Tarar was born on 2 March 1968 in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. She graduated from West Virginia University, Morgantown, West Virginia, United States with a degree in Journalism.[2]
Controversy
She came into the limelight when Shashi Tharoor’s wife Sunanda Pushkar alleged an affair with her husband. Sunanda Pushkar was found dead under mysterious circumstances on 17 January 2014. It is also alleged that she is a Pakistani agent working for ISI. Shashi Tharoor is an Indian Minister of State for Human Resource Development.
Twitter War
On 15 January 2014, Sunanda Pushkar, through Twitter, alleged Mehr of having an illicit relationship with her husband Shashi Tharoor.[3]
Sunanda Pushkar also accused Mehr Tarar of being an secret agent of Pakistan's Intelligence agency ISI.[4]
Personal Life
Mehr Tarar has a 13-year-old son.[5]
