Mehran Bottlers (Pvt.) Limited is a Pakistani corporation, manufacturer and retailer of carbonated beverages, syrups and juices. The company is best known for its flagship product Pakola which was launched on 14th August 1950 by Haji Ali Mohammad, and for its toll manufacturing services.
Origins[edit]
Mehran Bottlers (Pvt.) Limited was the first bottling plant in Pakistan which is certified to an integrated system based on (ISO 9001: 2000), (ISO 14001: 1996) and (RVA HACCP). It is the only company in Pakistan which makes such wide range of products in various packaging such as PET, tetra, cans, glass etc, under one roof. The company operates one of the most modern can filling plants in Pakistan, producing top of the line cans readily available for consumption.
In 1979, when Pakistan Beverages was announced as a production facility for PEPSI, Mehran Bottlers (Pvt.) Limited came into being to produce the iconic drink Pakola along with other products like Apple Sidra and Bubble Up .
After the demise of Haji Ali Mohammad, Mehran Bottlers (Pvt.) Limited was managed by his nephews late Zafar Habib and Arif Habib. Later in 2004, Zeeshan Z. Habib took charge as the chief executive officer (CEO) of Mehran Bottlers (Pvt.) Limited. He actively participated in the company’s operational tasks and learnt every aspect of operations with keen interest and responsibility. Soon after he graduated from The Manchester Metropolitan University, he joined the business. It is because of his immense efforts that Mehran bottlers (Pvt.) Limited is among the few companies that are certified HALAL, HACCP, ISO and the FDA. Owning to his brilliant leadership, Pakola is one of the most successful brands in Pakistan. Pakola connects our hearts and minds with the national spirit, after all “Har daur mein, Dil Bola Pakola”.

Mehran Bottlers (Pvt.) Limited offers various types of beverages. It has introduced other Pakola drinks under the Pakola name, these include Ice Cream Soda, Lychee, Rasberry, Lime, Orange, Pommegranate and Pakola Water. Apart from the Pakola products, Mehran Bottlers (Pvt.) Limited acquired the franchise of Apple Sidra and Vimto. In juices, the company produces the normal Mango, Apple and Tropical Mix. Furthermore, in cordial, Pakola Ice Cream Soda syrup and Vimto syrup is produced.

Discontinuation of the Glass Bottle[edit]
Due to the introduction of the capacity tax in 2013, the glass bottle production had to be discontinued. The tax was based on a plants potential capacity and not its actual output which made it an unfair system for those with lower productions or smaller markets. After the collapse of this system, Mehran Bottlers (Pvt.) Limited instantly set up their PET lines to grasp the market once again. The production of glass bottles was later resumed, but due to health and safety measures the company discontinued it permanently.
Toll Filling[edit]
One of the biggest achievement of Mehran Bottlers (Pvt.) Limited is their toll-filling business with the international brand Coca Cola. Coca Cola Beverage is a world class beverage brand globally recognized for its quality and taste. Due to the High Quality and Safety standards maintained by the company, Coca Cola joined hands with Mehran Bottlers (Pvt.) Limited in the toll filling of Coca Cola beverages. Previously, Coca Cola had never outsourced any of its facilities due to their strict compliance of Quality, Health & Safety standards, but with the hard work of Zeeshan Z. Habib and his team, Mehran Bottlers (Pvt.) Limited successfully achieved this milestone.
