Menes Konsult is an international consulting firm that was founded in 2009 by Nigerian-American attorney Jude "Jay" Menes[1] in collaboration with other African professionals in the United States. Attorney Menes studied Economics in a Nigerian university before relocating to the United States and graduated from the Thomas Cooley Law School at Western Michigan University in Lansing, Michigan. Thereafter he worked as an attorney in a large-sized Texas law firm before moving to work as an Employment lawyer at the Dallas City Attorney's Office. He subsequently left the City Attorney's Office to establish his private firm, Menes Law Firm,[2] before collaborating with other professionals to establish Menes Konsult in 2009.

According to its founders the firm was established as a result of unpleasant experiences of those (both diaspora Africans and non-Africans) who tried unsuccessfully to undertake investments and/or businesses in Africa. The firm is focused on representing foreign investors and companies[3] to effectively and successfully do business in African and other developing countries. The firm's literature touts its expertise in protecting clients from corruption, fraud, and other challenges[4] by leveraging the background and boot-on-ground human resources of its operatives and representatives throughout Africa. Among other services, the firm helps its clients to identify and participate in viable projects[5] and business opportunities in Africa and provides real-time due diligence, legal training and support, immigration support, business support, local community relations, and management/monitoring services to enhance the chances of success. The firm's founders state that because they are also motivated by the desire to properly develop Africa, they strive to ensure that all contracts and business relationships are fair to Africa as well as to the clients. The firm is said to have offices or representatives in the United States, Canada, Honduras, Costa Rica, Poland, Turkey, United Kingdom, Nigeria, South Africa, Mauritius, Kenya, Democratic Republic of Congo, and other major African countries.

The firm operates a number of social enterprise organizations and lists the following in its portfolio:

African Youth Congress: A borderless, non-political, and non-tribal platform to support, empower, and facilitate cooperation and sharing of ideas among African youths.

Africa Polygraph Network:[6] A credibility assessment network to combat corruption, fraud, crime, etc. in Africa.

Planet Startup:[7] An all-volunteer nonprofit organized to mentor and coach unemployed young adults residing in high-poverty, remote, or marginalized areas of the world.

Downtown Africa Media and Entertainment: An umbrella platform for providing international access for African entertainment, fashion, music, etc.

Downtown Africa Magazine: An online magazine dedicated to providing and sharing positive news and events about Africa.

Downtown Africa Productions: A production company focused on providing incentives and promoting Africa as a location of choice for movies, fashion shows, music, and tourism.
