Make In India Contribution
Menon developed Poly Grade Brake Disc for Train 18 High-Speed Train under the Make in India, Self-Reliant India initiatives. Inspired by the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative taken by the Government of India, Menon & Menon offered their capabilities to the Indian Aerospace and Defense industry too. Menon and Menon are looking at an opportunity to participate in the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative by offering its capacities and capabilities to the Indian Aerospace industry. Menon and Menon's expertise today is to manufacture cast iron and nodular iron components and their manufacturing processes are capable of consistently meeting the requirements of the automotive industry in terms of quality, delivery, and cost. They have also been experimenting with various grades of aluminum required for the Aerospace industry. They have set up a small lab-scale facility at their Kagal plant to work on this initiative.
