Metropolis (organization)
World Association of the Major Metropolises (Metropolis) is a non-profit and non-governmental international organisation that brings together the governments of more than 130 urban agglomerations worldwide [1]. Founded in 1985, its mission is to give a voice to local and regional governments in national and global politics to support the New Urban Agenda and Sustainable Development Goals and make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable [2].
