Mia Khalifa is a song by hip hop duo iLOVEFRiDAY. The song is a diss towards the pornstar Mia Khalifa.

Background[edit]

The song was created due to iLOVEFRiDAY member SmokeHijabi misinterpreting a fake tweet from an Instagram meme account as a real tweet. The tweet was depicted to be from Mia Khalfia's Twitter account, it read "She's so disrespectful to all Muslim women and gives us a bad image" with several emojis and a picture of SmokeHijabi smoking in a hijab following.[1][2] SmokeHijabi then responded with a video on Twitter.[3] The song was released on February 13, 2018.[4] The music video was later uploaded to YouTube on March 14, 2018.[5]

Resurgence and TikTok[edit]

The song gained a resurgence in late October 2018 when a TikTok video was made using the song by nyannyancosplay.[6] After this the song gained many more views on YouTube, now sitting at 16 million views and it got to number one on the Global Viral 50 chart on Spotify.[7]
