Mian Ali Raza is an islamic scholar, sufi mystic is a Barelvi born in a respectable family of Mian Mahar. Mian was born in 1885 (Rabi' al-awwal in Mian Sahib, of Shikarpur .his name at the time of his aqeeqah was Mian, as it was family tradition.[1]. His family did much to alleviate the sufferings of the people living in Mian Sahib.
Mian's ancestors were murid (disciple) of the noted Sufi saint of jhang, Sultan Bahoo, who also belonged to the Qadiri Order. As per ancestral tradition Mian is also murid of Sultan Bahoo's heirs Munneb Sultan Najeeb sultan and Khalid Sultan.

Mian was the son of Mian Abdul Hayye Awal, heir of famous prominent saint Sufi Hazrat Mian Taj Muhammad Mahar Faqir (r.a)[2]
Education[edit]
He received his early education from his father.[3] He completed his formal studies at 19. He was proficient in Arabic and Persian, as well as ahadith, fiqh, philosophy and mathematics.[4]
Literary works[edit]
He translated compiled some of Mian Taj's Poetry and treatise and also of his father. his work explains knowledge of the unseen in the life of 'Mian Taj Muhammad Mahar.[5] [6]
