Micaela Wittman (born September 27, 1999) is an American actress. Her early television roles include the American Broadcasting Company show Modern Family[1] and the Netflix series Atypical (TV series).[2] She went on to appear as the titular role in the Red Arrow Studios film Clairevoyant (2021).[3][4]
Early life
Wittman was raised as a Jehovah's Witness.[5]
Career
In 2017, she co-starred as Nadia in Speechless.[6] She also appeared as Tara Raeken in the MTV supernatural drama Teen Wolf.[7]
In 2021 she starred in Clairevoyant, a film that she co-wrote, co-directed, edited, and starred in.[8][9] Matt Fagerholm at RogerEbert.com praised her performance: "a tour de force performance from co-writer/director Micaela Wittman in the title role. Like Parker Posey in Christopher Guest's improvised masterworks, Wittman mines the misguided humanity in a character that in lesser hands would merely be laughed off the screen."[10][11]
In 2022 Wittman will be appearing in the feature film Shirley on Netflix[12], and The Dropout starring Amanda Seyfried on Hulu.[13] She will also star in an LGBTQ+ drama, Remy & Arletta, that she is also producing.[14]
