Dr. Michael E. Jones, FAACS (born: 1977) is an American cosmetic and reconstructive surgeon, specializing in ethnic rhinoplasty.[1][2] He is certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology — Head and Neck Surgery. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. Jones has also appeared in the following TV shows — The Dr. Oz Show, The Insider, The Doctors, Black Ink Crew, and Million Dollar Listing. He is also a concert-level trumpet player.[3]

Medical career[edit]

Jones started his plastic surgery practice in a townhouse in Harlem in 2000. Jones is a specialist of facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. He innovated[clarification needed][citation needed] several procedures of plastic surgery including "ethnic rhinoplasty" for Black people. He founded Lexington Plastic Surgeons in 2000 with 10 full-time staff in four locations across the country — New York City, New Jersey, Washington, D.C., and California. In 2007 the business grossed $2.3 million in revenues.[4]

His patients include men and women of various ethnicity and ages. Jones performs rhinoplasty and face-lifts using the various techniques developed by him.[4] He is a fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and the Founder and Director of Lexington Plastic Surgeons, based in New York City. Jones co authored the textbook Aesthetics and Cosmetic Surgery for Darker Skin Types; ISBN 9780781784030, in which he describes the needs of darker-skinned ethnic groups.

Jones frequently appears on TV programs as an expert on cosmetic surgery and beauty. He is also an occasional trumpet player in live music shows.[5][6] Jones made appearances on the following TV shows — Dr. Oz, The Insider, The Doctors, Black Ink Crew, and Million Dollar Listing.[7]
