Michael Granoff
Michael Granoff is a mobility-focused venture capitalist. He is Managing Partner of Maniv Mobility, a VC firm investing in mobility and backed by Jaguar Land Rover,[1] Valeo, Aptiv, BMW, Hyundai, Lear, LG Electronics, the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance, and Deutsche Bahn, among others.[2][3][4] Prior to founding Maniv Mobility, Granoff was among the first investors in the audacious but doomed battery switching electric car startup Better Place,[5][6][7][8] and remained a board member until the company's liquidation in May 2013.[9]
Granoff is also active in political advocacy surrounding electrification and energy independence. In 2004, he helped establish the Washington, D.C.-based advocacy organization Securing America's Future Energy (SAFE), on whose board he continues to serve.[10]
After Maniv Mobility became the first Israel-headquartered VC firm to invest in a UAE-based startup, Fenix, in November 2020,[11][12] Granoff advocated for deeper regional cooperation in innovation, calling for, "a new Middle Eastern network of innovation-driven economies."[13]
