The Michigan Democratic Black Caucus is an American political organization composed of African Americans in Michigan. It is composed of elected officials, precinct delegates, and members of the Michigan Democratic Party. The caucus was founded by the late David S. Holmes Jr., who served in both the Michigan Senate and the Michigan House of Representatives. Its goal today is to promote the interests and concerns of African Americans and minorities.[1]
Political activity[edit]
In the 2020 presidential election, the caucus endorsed former Vice President Joe Biden.[2]
