Midtown is a Manhattan-based barbershop quartet that won the International Quartet Championship for 2023 at the Barbershop Harmony Society's annual international convention, in Louisville, Kentucky.[1][2] Their set included "Spider-Farm", a comic medley of their 2019 hit "Spider-Man",[3] and the parody song "Old MacDonald's Deformed Farm", originally by Lunch Break.[4] Midtown had ranked second behind Quorum in the 2022 international convention.[5][6]
In 2018, Midtown won the BHS Mid-Atlantic District quartet contest.[7] Also in their first year together, they placed fifth in international competition and won an award for the highest scoring first-time quartet.[1] In 2020, Midtown's "Spider-Man Theme" music video won Best Music Video at the inaugural BHS Awards.[8]
